Welcome to Our Barony of Endless Hills!
Hello and welcome to The Barony of Endless Hills, a part of the Society for Creative Anachronism, an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events that may feature tournaments, arts exhibits, classes, workshops, dancing, feasts, and more.
We are within the Kingdom of Æthelmearc, located in the Eastern area of Pennsylvania between the New York border and just south of Interstate 80 (from north to south). We encompass the following counties: Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wyoming, Wayne, Monroe, Pike, Bradford, Susquehanna, and parts of Sullivan. Some of the major towns within our borders are Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Mountain Top, Hazleton, Nanticoke, Pittston, Tunkhannock, Clarks Summit, Carbondale, Forest City, Honesdale, Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg, Milford, Montrose, Towanda, and Susquehanna.
The Barony of Endless Hills is a Harassment and Bully Free Zone. Click here for information.
We are excited that we have been able to resume activities over these past couple of months. I would offer my appreciation to Lord Daven McKenaugh for taking on the position of Baronial Chatelaine on an interim basis. I would also like to thank our Marshalls for finding venues where both Fencing and Heavy Armored Combat can resume on a weekly basis, subject to availability and weather permitting; and Dame Kateryna for starting a monthly Sewing Circle at her home in Moosic. Please check our *activity page* for more detailed information.
My thanks to Lord Nicolo for coordinating our second successful demo at the French Azilum which appears to have been very well received. Members of the Barony also were present at the special Crown Tournament held in the Shire of Misty Highlands the same day as the demo. Congratulations to Lord Gregory Hillson as the newest recipient of the Shield of Chivalry.
