Welcome From the Chronicler

Greetings,

I’d like to take this opportunity to say how proud I am of each and every barony member! The pictures featured in our newsletters are just a glimpse of the amazing year we have accomplished. We were in charge of 2 Kingdom wide events, Melee Madness & Coronation. Not an easy task and we did it beautifully. Excited to see the mountains we can move in the New Year. Any questions or concerns, please reach out to me.

Happy Holidays to both young and old in the Endless Hills!

Sincerely in service,
Your Chronicler
Lady Matilda of the Endless Hills

Baronial Notes-Thoughts from Coronation

Greetings, Endless Hills!

Coronation has come and gone and a wonderful day it was! Between fighting and fencing, dancing and bocci, cooking and kids activities, the day was jam packed full of activities for everyone to enjoy. The weather was perfect during the day and the campfire Bardic circles and smores were well received in the evenings. As with any new site, there were a few hiccups but overall the weekend was received wonderfully by the Kingdom and many people asked when we will host the next event at the camp!

In Service, the Coronation Autocrat
Baroness Kolfinna

Closing Chronicler Remarks

Life of a Chronicler : By Lady Matilda

Hey, thank you for reading my newsletter.
You’re sweeter than a peach
But you don’t know the life of a chronicler, hey
And if you ever ever wanna
Wait, the more you listen, the more that you learn
You’re closer than you think
So you don’t know the life of a chronicler, hey
And if you ever ever wanna

She was a member
The fencer of a practice in Steel Therapy
Her friends said she could do it
Her Dona said why not try it

So she waited by the computer screen as the meeting got started
She said, “I’d like to try to have a taste of a chronicler life insisting it’s mine”
But that’s not what members get
They vote you in instead

Hey, thank you for reading my newsletter. The note I, Lady Matilda, wanted to make for this newsletter is that anyone can become an officer for the Barony. Ask each officer if you can shadow them, become their deputy, and get an insight in the life of an officer, not just a chronicler. The SCA is based around service, and one of the biggest services you can do for our barony is become an officer.
